Stick to Reading with the Idaho Steelheads

Join the Idaho Steelheads and the Meridian Library District for the 4th Annual Winter Reading Challenge! Children ages 0-18 have the opportunity to read some amazing books and earn some fantastic prizes, including a free ticket* to an Idaho Steelheads Game on April 1, 2026!

How to Participate

  • Sign up and start logging minutes you read, or minutes you are read to, beginning January 4, 2026
  • Track reading on printed reading logs or online using Beanstack
  • Pick up printed logs at one of the Meridian Library District branches
  • Last day to register is February 21, 2026

All minutes must be logged by March 14, 2026.

All ticket vouchers must be picked up by March 28, 2026.

*All families attending Steelheads Game must purchase one adult ticket to fulfill a voucher for the rest of the family. Vouchers available while supplies last.*

Track Your Progress

Participants can track their progress either with this reading log (also available at every MLD branch) or digitally through Beanstack.

Beanstack is an online program for all patrons to use to track their progress in the Winter Reading Challenge. Beanstack is available through the MLD Beanstack webpage or download the app:

Join us for a Special PJ Storytime with the Idaho Steelheads! Put on your pajamas and fuzzy slippers and join us for a fun time of stories and songs. All ages are welcome!!
