- The Cherry Lane branch closed Aug. 9, 2025 and is planned to reopen Winter 2026/2027. All services — including holds and returns — at this location will be on pause until the branch reopens. Returns can be made at any MLD or Lynx Library location. Holds can be picked up at any MLD branch.
- The Cherry Lane branch was built in 1996 and opened in 1997.
- The building on Cherry Lane still operates on many of the systems originally installed. The HVAC, electrical, and fire systems all need significant updates.

Meridian voters said "Yes!" to this project.
- In 2019, voters passed a plant facility levy, indicating a clear love and need for an expanded public library. With the help of the Meridian Library Foundation, this levy has allowed the Meridian Library District to renovate its unBound branch and open two new branches. You can learn more about the levy here.
