Project Overview

Anticipated opening: Late 2024

Welcome home to Meridian Library at Pinnacle, formerly referred to as South branch. Located at Lake Hazel and Locust Grove roads in South Meridian, the 11,000 sq ft Pinnacle branch will be located in the Pinnacle community under development by Brighton Corporation. 

Features in the new Pinnacle branch will include: 

  • A 24-hour access point for requested library materials. When patrons place items on hold through the library catalog, they will be able to pick them up at their convenience. 
  • Reservable spaces, including a community room and two study rooms
  • A children's area with an outdoor seating option
  • A designated teen space
  • An adult lounge area with a fireplace

The Pinnacle branch will be in a shared space with a coffee shop next door and an amphitheater across the courtyard. Check back for project updates!

Project Status

October 19, 2023

The South Branch broke ground on October 19, 2023! The new location at the corner of Lake Hazel and Locust Grove is the third project supported by the plant facility levy passed in 2019 and is expected to be completed late 2024. 

February 17, 2023

Negotiations with the developer and land donor are underway to begin construction of the South Branch project. No timeline has been established but our hope is to open this location in 2024 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Meridian Library District.

April 13, 2022

Construction of the library is expected to begin in 2022. It is projected to open in Late 2024
