By the mid-2000s, the Board of Trustees decided it was time to add a new library branch. The building on Cherry Lane was becoming more crowded, as were the streets of Meridian. People living south of the Interstate found it difficult to get to the library. After a six-month search for a storefront to rent and a three-month renovation project, the full-service Silverstone branch opened on March 30, 2009. 

As part of the plant facility levy  measure to renovate, expand and modernize our district, our Silverstone location will relocate to the new Pinnacle location in late 2024. Visit our Capital Projects page to learn more about Meridian Library District's future.
