Kindergarten Readiness Parent Workshop: Session 1

Participants will be guided through the completion of an Ages and Stages Questionnaire, a developmental screening tool that pinpoints developmental progress in children between the ages of one month to 5 ½ years. Training specialists will talk about how to instill a sense of confidence in your child, create a smooth transition into kindergarten for the whole family, and how to communicate and collaborate with your child’s new teacher. In addition, training specialists will review Idaho Guidelines, focusing on language, literacy, math, and reasoning skills that are pertinent to a child’s entrance into kindergarten. Participants will be send home with an ABC learning mat

Session 2 is April 11 and Session 3 is April 18. Attendance at all 3 sessions is recommended, but not mandatory.

This class for parents and adults of children will be held at the same time as the Kindergarten All-Stars class, so parents of Kindergarten All-Stars participants can attend.
