Would you be interested in free tax preparation with IRS certified VITA tax preparers?  Visit us during the Scan/Intake session at the Meridian Library. This would entail that you visit VITA at the library to scan your documents, including photo ID(s) and social security card(s), and complete the intake process.

Your tax return will not be prepared on this day. The Boise State VITA team will prepare your tax return during the next available opportunity. Once your tax return has been prepared, we will contact you to arrange an in-person or virtual tax review appointment. This process may take a few days or a few weeks.

To prepare your tax return, we will need to verify your identity with a government issued picture ID and with a social security card (for everyone included on the tax return). Be sure to bring your physical (paper) income and deduction tax documents.

Please complete the intake information prior to your visit, which is available at this link and either print it or email it to vitataxhelp@boisestate.edu

Otherwise, you can complete a paper form at the library.

Note: If you make more than $58,000 gross income, please see a paid preparer as you are out of scope for VITA services. We also cannot do Married Filing Separately, nor Schedule E returns. For more information, please see this IRS link.
