Library Board Elections
Meridian Library District Library Board of Trustees are elected by District residents as directed by Idaho Code (I.C. 33-2720). If you are interested in a board position, please review the Library Trustee Job Description for qualifications. Trustee Elections are held in May every odd year (I.C. 33-2715, 33-2718); candidate filings are due March of that same year. Ada County will make legal notifications for the election, including publishing the notice for petitions for candidacy. Petitions will be filed with the clerk of the district. (I.C. 34-1404) The county will publish the notice(s) of election. (I.C. 34-1406).
Library Board Information
The Meridian Library Board meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 pm in the large conference room at the Cherry Lane branch. Board meetings are open to the public. Please contact the Library 24 hours prior to the meeting if you need special accommodation.
The Library Board follows all laws and rules as set forth in the Idaho Code for Libraries.
