Don't miss this chance to meet each month with Mayor de Weerd, local business leaders who share your love of reading good books, and a great group of your peers! There's plenty of time to read before our Thursday, March 1, meeting. Readers, grades 3-5, will collect and keep three hardcover books for their home libraries. Meetings are held at Meridian City Hall on the first Thursday of the month.
We have an excellent selection of titles for Session 2: March 1, The Girl Who Drank the Moon; April 5, A Wrinkle in Time; and May 3rd, Matilda.
Registration opens January 4. Before registering, please check your calendar for conflicts. When you register, you commit to attending each of the three (3) book discussion meetings.
March's books are available to registered participants to collect at the Meridian Library, Cherry Lane, Children's Library Office, from January 22nd through February 10th. Please be sure to include your email address to receive reminder emails.*
*Registrants who have not collected their book by the end of operating hours, February 10th, risk forfeiting their registration to the next waitlisted person.
Please note: We're sad to announce that, as the Mayor is now engaged with Meridian's youth in several other fine programs, Session 1 and Session 2 will comprise our final Mayor's Book Club program. We are sorry to see it come to an end, but are grateful for the amazing opportunities we've all enjoyed!
