DUSTIN BARRETT - VICE CHAIR

Term ends 2021

Dustin is the Principal of Meridian Academy and recent graduate of the Leadership Meridian program. He believes that literacy is the key that unlocks the promise of education and the library provides opportunity and equity in the pursuit of literacy and knowledge. Not surprisingly, he and his family are avid readers!

CHRISTINA HIRSCH - TREASURER

Term ends 2023

Christina and her family moved to Meridian from Seattle in 2014 and they absolutely love Idaho! A graduate of Washington State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and an emphasis in Advertising, Christina spent more than a decade working for an advertising agency in media strategy and client management. Since moving to Idaho she has refocused her career on real estate and obtained her real estate license in 2015. In raising her three small children, Christina has developed a love of MLD and has strong feelings about the important role libraries play in our community for people of all ages.

Howard Little - Trustee

Term ends 2021

Howard Little is the longest standing Trustee on the Board, having served for 20 years and counting. He is a retired agronomist and has raised his family in the 42 years he has lived here in Meridian.

Jeff Kohler - Trustee

Term ends 2025

Jeff and his family moved to Meridian from Portland in 2000, and one of the first things they did when they arrived was get library cards. If he comes across a library when traveling someplace new he'll stop in for a look around. Jeff wanted to serve on the Board because he feels strongly that a top-notch library system is essential for a vibrant community.  Jeff has a bachelor's degree in English from BYU, and works as an asset manager for an operator of utility-scale solar energy plants.

Gretchen Caserotti - Library Director

Gretchen serves as the Secretary to the Board and clerk to the District.
