You are here
The MLD Sprinter makes regular visits to senior and assisted living communities. If you would like us to begin visiting your facility, please fill out an application.
We can also bring library classes to you! Classes can include anything from holiday-themed crafts to technology demonstrations.
If you would like library staff to plan and deliver an activity at your facility, please contact the Outreach Department at 208.888.4451 or email@example.com.
WHO can receive homebound services?
Any Meridian resident who is not able to come to the library can receive homebound services. You can also receive homebound services if you are only temporarily unable to come to the library (for example, if you are on bedrest).
HOW it works:
If you would like to have home visits from library staff, please fill out an application. We will contact you to set up a time for your first visit, as well as to learn more about what types of materials you are interested in receiving.
WHAT we deliver:
We can deliver books (regular and large print), DVDs, music CDs, and audiobooks. We can also help you get eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library onto your own device.
Talking books program
The Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL) provides audiobooks and magazines to all Idaho residents who are unable to read standard print, hold a book, or turn pages due to a temporary or permanent physical limitation. ICfL mails materials directly to your home at no cost.
For more information or to apply for the program, contact Carol at 208.888.4451 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Want to volunteer in homebound or senior services?
We are always looking for volunteers who want to serve those who cannot access the library.
Volunteers in homebound and senior services can spend time doing many types of tasks, including visiting senior and assisted living communities, delivering programs, or helping select materials.
