Meridian Library District subscribes to a number of online databases that can help you find detailed, specific information on a variety of topics, all of which has been collected and vetted by professionals. Whether your interest is academic, vocational, or personal, the following resources will provide a base of knowledge well beyond what simple internet searches can provide.

America's NewspapersAmerica's Newspapers provides articles from back issues of newspapers in Idaho and around the nation. Use your library card number to log on.

ApangeaApangea Math -- funded by LiLI This self-paced learning tool covers 5th Grade Math through Algebra 1 and Geometry, with additional online help available. Users must register through either their public school or the public library to create a user name and password. Available to all residents of Idaho.

Auto Repair ReferenceAuto Repair Reference (funded by LiLI) allows you to access repair procedures, wiring diagrams, and automobile recall information. Use your library card number to log on.

eCISCIS (Career Information System) is a tool from the Idaho Department of Labor to help you identify your ideal career, plus the education and training necessary to realize your goals. Click on the GUEST tab above the login window to use CIS.

Heritage QuestHeritage Quest (funded by LiLI) holds the key to your family history. Access genealogical records and historical documents to learn your ancestry. Use your library card number to log on.

Learning ExpressLearning Express Practice Tests (funded by LiLI) is a resource to help you learn new computer skills, study for standardized tests like the ACT or SAT, assist in earning your GED, prepare for Real Estate licensing, and more. Use your library card number as your user name, create a password, and download the LE media player.

Libraries Linking IdahoLiLI is a collection of shared databases provided by Libraries Linking Idaho. The subjects range from academic, to auto repair, to art, to health--nearly every topic will find some treatment. Log in with your zip code and city to access any database.

NoveListNoveList (funded by LiLI) is a reader's database that offers book recommendations, discussion guides, author read-alikes, and much more. Use your library card number to log on.

NoveList K-8NoveList K-8 (funded by LiLI) is just like the adult version of NoveList above, but targeted at younger readers. If your son or daughter wants something good to read, but can't find anything, give NoveList K-8 a try. Use your library card number to log on.

OverDriveOverDrive is a service that allows you to download eAudio and eBooks to your Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Apple iDevice, or one of several other e-readers or MP3 players. Go to our OverDrive Site, establish an Adobe username and password, and check out our newest way to enjoy your favorite authors.

TumbleBooksTumbleBooks offers a huge selection of animated storybooks that you can read with your children. Use your library card number to log on.

World Book EncyclopediaWorld Book Encyclopedia (funded by LiLI) is an online version of the print encyclopedia that contains every article from its woody cousin, plus multimedia content. Use your library card number to log on.
