Estate PlanningEstate Planning: What is probate, what is a trust, and do I need one? This presentation for adults will explain what probate is, when it is required in Idaho, explain what a trust is and its purpose, and how to ensure your wishes are known. The discussion is especially beneficial to parents from all levels of income, to understand the decisions they need to make about planning for a child's guardian and considerations for how and when assets are distributed for items such as children's living expenses and education. Tuesday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Mystery Book ClubMystery Book Club Beginning in October, the Meridian Library District will host a monthly book club for mystery lovers. Come share sinister motives, chilling scenes, suspenseful intrigue, and, of course, some humor. Each month will have a different theme, such as gardening, poison, food, or librarians. Come see us October 21st at 6:30 to help us kick off.

  • January 20th: Kirk Bloodsworth will talk about the first death row inmate exonorated by DNA evidence.
  • April 21st: Glen Groben, M.D., Forensic Pathologist for the Ada County Coroner's office will be our guest.

Adult LearningComputer Basics The Meridian Library is now offering classes for learning basic computer skills. Learn the basics of operating Microsoft Windows XP, surfing the internet, and using standard programs. Stop by the Information Desk at the main library for more information.
