Storytime Slam partners with Big Tree Arts, a nonprofit poetry organization in Boise. The purpose of holding the poetry slam at the Silverstone Branch Library is to encourage teen and young adult participation in library programs and to educate aspects of poetry to said demographic. It is a free event that encourages donations to Big Tree Arts, though this is not a requirement. The poetry slam is held every second Wednesday of the month with sign-ups starting at 7:30 and the slam beginning at 8:00. Ages 14+.
