The library welcomes donations of like-new fiction paperbacks and hardbacks, 2007 or newer, as well as classics. Donations of like-new children's fiction, nonfiction, DVDs and CDs are also accepted, as are like-new DVDs and CDs for all ages.
The library cannot accept donations of textbooks, encyclopedias, VHS, cassette tapes or magazines. Other sites that accept donations include the Idaho Youth Ranch and various thrift stores.
All donated items become the property of the library and will be reviewed for inclusion in the collection, with non-added items being sold in the Friends of Meridian Library quarterly book sale.
Donors may obtain a receipt from the library for tax purposes, and all donations qualify for the Idaho Public Library Contribution Tax Credit. Donations may be dropped off at the main Meridian Library District location at 1326 W. Cherry Lane during normal business hours.
Support the Library
Your gift will help the library improve and expand its collections and support new and continuing program for literacy and life-long learning.
You choose a specific purpose and location for your gift. For example, you may designate the purchase of large-print books for your local branch library or choose children's titles for Main Library.
You may choose to remember a special person or celebrate a special occasion with your gift. If designated, a bookplate will be added to each new book to recognize the person or event. A letter acknowledging your gift will be sent to the honoree or to the family of the person memorialized.
To donate to the library, please call 208-888-4451 or email the library director.
