Starting tomorrow we will begin working on installing our new automatic sorter. It's this giant machine that will take the Meridian Library books, DVDs, and CDs you return, check them in automatically, and place them into different bins! It's like we're living in the future.
We have almost every aspect covered except for what to call the thing, since albeit descriptive, "The Sorter" lacks a certain flair (and we at the library are all about flair). So we are asking your help in deciding on a name. Our staff have come up with a few suggestions, but if you don't like any of them, we would love to hear your ideas.
April 20th through the 27th is Unplug and Be Outside week for the Treasure Valley! This is a week of free events for the entire family that encourages us to put down our TV remotes, phones, and video games to enjoy Spring in Idaho. So save your game, let the machine pick up, and get outside!
