Starting from Seed

SeedsJoin us at the Cherry Lane library Monday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. for a lively discussion about starting your garden from seeds instead of purchased plants. Learn the difference between cold- and warm-season crops, and learn which ones prefer to be started from seeds indoors or seeded directly into the ground.

Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday with Us!

Dr. Suess' BirthdayThe Meridian Library will partner with the Treasure Valley Children's Theater and Anything Can Happen! production to celebrate what would be the 111th birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel. 

On Sunday, March 1, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Treasure Valley Children's Theater actors will be dressed up as favorite characters performing lively renditions of Suess classics in the large program room of the Cherry Lane library. 

Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m., Paige Moore from Anything Can Happen! will lead children of all ages through creative movement and activities for her Suess-inspired production of My Many Colored Days.

Both programs are open to the public and no registration is required. 

Learn About 3D Printing and Design

3D printing and designStarting in February the Meridian Library District will offer several opportunities to learn about 3D printing and design. Register for a one-on-one session, Thursdays 5:30-7:30 at Silverstone or Fridays 1:00-3:00, or 3:00-5:00 at Cherry Lane. Or, drop in for one of our 3D Design Computer Classes to learn in a group setting. Check the online calendar for availability or email megan@mld.org with questions.
