Teen Gaming Night

Teen Gaming NightTeen Gaming Night is this Friday, April 26th, from 6-8 pm.  The program is open to students grades 6-12.  Join us as we play board games, card games, and video games! We'll have pizza, soda and lots of fun! Signups not required but please show up before 6pm because the library will be closed to the public at this time.

Seed Preservation 101 - April 30th @ 6:30 pm

Want to save some of your garden seeds?  Do you know how?  Katie Gonzalez of Meridian Coop Gardeners will provide information on how to preserve various kinds of seeds.

Coming in May, the Meridian Library District will have a Seed Exchange that will be located in the lobby!  Katie Gonzalez will introduce this program at the Seed Preservation 101 class or check our website and Facebook page for updates!

3D Printing & Scanning

3D Printing with the ReseumJoin us, April 3rd from 4-5pm, for a demostration in 3D printing and scanning.  We are going to create a sculpture out of books then use the 3D scanner to recreate our creation on the computer.  Then we will use that image to create a miniature model using the 3D printer.  This program is open for anyone grades 6 - 12. EveryoneOn!

Did you know that 62 million people do not use the internet, but that 80% of jobs are now posted online instead of newspapers? The EveryoneOn Campaign hopes to get everyone access to the internet.

Yesterday saw the start of Connect2Compete's EveryoneOn Campaign, a nation-wide public service campaign to promote the importance of digital literacy skills. From the website, you can find classes in your area, get tips on applying for jobs online, and find wifi access! Join the Meridian Library as we seek to get Everyone Online. Don't forget--we have free wifi at all three locations as well as computer access at the Meridian Library @ Cherry Lane and the Meridian Library @ Silverstone!
